Took some pictures yesterday between the rains. Most of them are of the State Capital and the things around it. I am really liking the new camera. Not sure that I really have the hang of it yet, but I am trying.

As someone who takes a lot of pictures and as a result now thinks about his visual environment more than ever, I just have one thing to say:

    I hate power lines.

Oh, and now that I’ve looked at all the pictures I can confirm that you got some nice ones in there. Plus, it looks like it was rather decent weather - nothing more frustrating than trying to take outdoor scenery or landscape pics with a gray dull sky.

The new theme looks great!! Some cool pics of the capitol, it really is a neat place with the war memorial bldg/plaza and the bicentennial mall. Dan McGuiness pub right near this pic has some great food.

Kevin: Yes! Power lines and cell towers suck. I could have gotten a better angle on that shot, but it would have involved being harassed my people begging for money and I did not feel like dealing with all that. I should be more hardcore and go for the better shot next time.

Jonathan: Thanks! Capitol really is a pretty cool place to walk around. The last time I had been and just explored that area was when I was in 8th grade. That was before the bicentennial mall was there. Dang that makes me feel old.

Nice pics! Last time I was around the capitol was with Dusty in high school for youth legislature.
