I applied for a new credit card about a month ago.  I was getting tired of waiting so I finally called and checked on it.  Seems they send me one on the 14th, but did not have my apartment number on the address so I never got it.  Now I have a number to call tomorrow to get them to send me a new one.  After I get my new card and make sure it works I will finally be getting rid of the last account that Leslie and I shared.

Some of you know this, but I am going to write about it anyway.  About a month ago Leslie text me and wanted to get some Christmas stuff, which was fine by me.  During the course of a conversation on the phone the next morning I mention something about giving the tree we had to Leah and Mandy.  She went off telling me that I need to check with her before giving away anything that cost that much.  The me from a year ago would have rolled over and done whatever to make sure I did not rock the boat, but this time I started in on a good rant that last about 5 minutes telling her why she had no right and did not deserver anything else.  At some point during my rant she had hung up on me, but it felt good to get some of that stuff out even if she did not hear, and to know she no longer has any control over me.  I am not going around being mean or talking bad about her or anything, but it is nice to know that I am free of the feeling of obligation that I felt for so long ever after she had abandon me.  Oh and just so everyone knows the tree is now in Leah and Mandy’s house looking very nice.

Heres to being able to stand on my own.  Ok not so much on my own, but with the help of my wonderful friend and with out her.

I hope everyone haves a good Thanksgiving. I am leaving tomorrow night and will not be back in town until Saturday, so if you need anything a phone call will be the best bet since more than likely I will not have any internet access.

I do bit of good work news. The project I am working on got extended a month, so we may have time to finish it.

Had a pretty good weekend, for everyone being out of town. Friday night had dinner with some with my fencing instructor from college. I had not seen him and his wife in a long time so that was fun. We I got finished at their place I headed back here to pack me stuff and headed to Leah and Mandy’s. When I got to their house I watched BSG and Dr. Who and then went to bed.

Saturday morning I got and found the back way from the house to Fairview and from Fairview to a chunk of 840 that is only about 10 miles long. From there I got on I40 and drove to Montgomery Bell State Park.

The park is pretty cool. The day was icky. It was over cast and cold all day long, very bad light as you can tell from the pictures (see flickr). I have a good time despite the weather. It was a very nice 11 mile hike. It also once again showed me how bad of shape I am in. Around mile 6 or so my legs where not at all happy with me, but I did it and am glad I pressed on. It was so nice to be out in nature.

So the moral of the story would be I had fun, but am glad everyone is back from out of town.  Oh and Thursday is the rescheduled Mercy Me and Audio Adrenaline show!

I hope everyone got out yesterday and voted.  It took me about 2 hours to make it though the line and vote.  The place I went to only had 4 machines.  It was nice to see so many people out trying to vote.  Maybe the high turn out will stick and not be for just this one election.

Last weekend I saw my first college level volleyball game and I have to say holy crap those girls can play.  I could not believe what I was seeing.  I also could not believe what they wear.  If it were not for the shirts they look like they could walk out of the game and walk right in at Hooters or something like that.  It was fun to see.

This weekend pretty much all my girls are going to be out of town.  Some are off to see family and the others are off to kick butt on a thesis presentation.  I am going to watch the dogs and hit a state park Saturday if it is not raining.  I am itching to take some pictures.
