Maybe it's like that Seinfeld episode where George was working for the Yankees but the Mets met with him and wanted him to come work for them but they couldn't call it a "meeting" because George was still undercontract and they "weren't telling him to get fired so they could hire him on" either. I'm hoping somebody remembers that episode because I just sounded really stupid if nobody does.

I am sure he is wanting to see if you are a "fit". So to see if your personality goes well with who is already there. No worries though, because if you liked your former coworker...all should be well.

Dusty: Cool! Less stress and more secure is a very good move.

Steven: I am not exactly sure it is an interview. The email I got from the old coworker just said that he would like to meet me, so I am not really sure what it is.

Hope the interview goes well. You shouldn't feel bad at all about looking into a new job. You're seriously overworked where you are now. There's a point I think at which it doesn't matter how much money you get, enjoying your job is more important. Your life can't and shouldn't be primarily focused on work all the time.

Mom just went through the same thing. She starts her new job next week. Doesn't pay as much, but should be less stressful and more secure than the one she has now.
