In case you missed it
If you have been reading you know something has been up. At the beginning of this week I came very close to losing my job. I screwed something up. I will be honest I have screw other stuff up bigger than this, but never with the owner having to do clean up.
Tuesday same process had another problem. Once again my fault. The second one was less of a stupid mistake, but after the one from Monday I would have been gone with out intervention. So now I still have my job, but now I am all freaked out about it.
Not at all a good week. Well Wednesday was good, but pretty much the rest of the has sucked.
Screw them, people make mistakes. Do your best and if that’s not good enough there are other jobs, you have a degree with 2 years of experience.
A companies most valuable asset are their people. If they don’t take care of you then it’s their loss. I wouldn’t worry too much Eric. I see extreme slackers and screw ups, nothing like what you probably did, I’m talking total losers. They’re the people who never get fired and actually get promoted.
Have they ever fired anyone at your place? It’s not worth beating yourself up about mistakes.
I know it will be ok just freaked out about it. I have lost count of the number of people who have been fired in the three years I have been there. They fire a lot.
