I guessed it

Published by Elemak at 7:40 pm under Work

Remember me talking about it looking like someone was going to be promoted to team lead? Well it happen today. They were nice and ask me if I would be ok with it, like it matter at that point since they had already done it, but at least they did not totally over look me.

I am happen for the person that got promoted. They do good work. At the same time it proves that I was not made to be a manager type. Just like I was not made to be good with people in general, esp one I have just met. I don’t know I guess I am a little bit bitter. I am always going to be on the same level that I am now. Technically I am pretty strong, but I lack everything else that would let me move forward and that really does bother me. As anyone who knows me would be able to tell you I would just get ran over anyway so I guess at least this way I don’t have to fail.

You can always better yourself. You already have the biggest part to being
successful in your field, college education, and a couple years of experience.
You have a couple options on learning leadership skills.
    1) Read some books or articles on leadership skills.
    2) Go to a leadership seminar on a weekend.
    3) Take a leadership class online, at a local college, or a course that deals with business managment.

Right now learn as much technical information and real world experiences for your job. That way when you become the boss or leader people will be
less likely to pull the wool over your eyes.
Nothing worse than a boss who doesn’t know some in depth knowledge for
    the people they’re over.

I just don’t ever see myself being the manager type, I don’t think I would be at all good at it. Who knows maybe with the right training and environment I would be good at it.
