Camping!
This past weekend was the camping trip with the kids from church. I had a really good time. We were at Montgomery Bell state park. It is a very nice park and got to see some really cool stuff that I did not know was there before this weekend.
By the time I got there Friday night camp was all set up so I got off pretty easy. Everyone got there over the next couple of hours. We played in the creek looking for things to catch, did some crafty stuff, had hot dogs, and all kinds of other stuff.
Lou, Leah, Kirsten, and I all stayed up pretty late, 12:30ish I think it was talking (mostly them) about all kinds of stuff. I really enjoyed it even if I am lacking in the communication. After everyone else went to be I walked out to this big field with a flash light and spent thirty or so minutes writing and thing to get the stuff out of my head. I wish I was able to join in the conversation more. I want to be able to share on the same level everyone else was, but it just does not work for me. It was not because I was not comfortable with any of them, in fact they are some of the people I am most comfortable with.
Saturday we had breakfast, played with some water balloons, and went fishing (I went off on my own taking pictures while everyone else was fishing), then we had lunch, and back to the creek to try and catch some more stuff.
This last trip to the creek was the most interesting. Near the end I hear something on the bank. I am expecting to look up and see some small furry creature, but instead I am faced with a long scaly one with a frog in it’s mouth. I order everyone out of the creek and we head back to camp, which has been dismantled while we were gone.
It was good times and I wished it could have lasted longer. I hope we get to do it again at some point. Big thanks for Leah and Mandy for all there hard work, you all did a wonderful job!

It was way to hot to have been outside last weekend. I wouldn’t have wanted to have been camping.
Kinda funny how everyone wants another camp out this Fall. Because we vowed to only have on a year. HA HA HA! I suppose it just means everyone had a good time.
Dusty…it was CRAZY hot!
Your more heat tolerant than I am. No camping except for in the spring and the fall.
It really was not as hot as you would have thought. I did not sleep very good, but I don’t think that had a whole lot to do with heat.
Of course everyone is wanting another one cause it was a blast! You and Mandy did a great job!
