Last Wedding Weekend
As most of you know I was in the Cleveland area last weekend to photograph Sara and Steven’s wedding. I think it went fairly well for the equipment I had. I took a bit over 700 pictures. I upload just over 600 for them. It was an interesting experience, don’t think it would be something I would like to do for a living, but I think I would do it again to help some friend out.
This picture was at pretty much the end of the whole thing. The reception was winding down and most people partook of this one last celebration of the newly married couple. So ends the year of weddings for me. Four in one year. That really is more that I have been to if you count all the others I have been to in my life.
I am growing a beard. If you check flickr you can see day one of this experiment. I am thinking I will take another this Sunday (the one week mark). For some reason when you start growing a beard people ask you why a lot. My reason is that I have never done it and wanted to see how it went. My goal is to let it grow at least a couple of weeks. At this point I don’t know if I will keep it for very long or not.

Now is the best time to start growing one since it’s cooled off.
I would imagine it’s too hot for most people to keep a beard in the summer.
You know, I have gotten into the habit of shaving about once a week since I no longer have a job where I have to appear squeaky clean for the public. Hooray for campus jobs! Anyway, once people are used to you not shaving every day they stop asking about the beard thing. THEN when they’re used to the week scruff they get complacent, you go on fall break, you come back, and they say, “WHEN DID YOU GROW A BEARD?!”
Today is Day 28. My beard officially starts 30 days after my last shave, so by this weekend it will be an Official Beard.
I guess I have to expand my two weeks to fours to make it to real beard status. It has started itching the last couple of days.
